Shop Category: Hardware
If you love old-fashioned hardware stores with creaky wood floors and narrow aisles packed to high-ceiling rafters with at least one of this and two of that, take a wander through Harris Hardware.
It’s well known around town that if Harris doesn’t have it, you don’t need it.
From odd-sized screws and anything hardware to a basement room dedicated to bird seed (yes!) to garden seeds by the pound (or ounce), this second-generation family business prides itself on serving the community.
Owner Jimmy Harris is also Brevard’s long-serving mayor, and divides his time between the store and city hall next door. His father, Mabry, purchased Francis & Wright Feed and Seed in October 1972.
You’ve heard, of course, of Brevard’s white squirrel? Make sure to ask about Harris Hardware’s captive white bat. 😉
