    Chef Marc Dambax brought his Italian-inspired menu to the mountains in 2000 after running his first restaurant, Market East Bistro, in Charleston, South Carolina, for nine years.

    Enduring menu favorites: the Insalata di barbabietole – an artful composition of golden and red beets, gorgonzola cheese, walnuts and baby greens drizzled with beet oil; the Butternut Squash Ravioli – a unique medley of large ravioli filled with kielbasa sausage and mashed butternut squash in a brown butter sage sauce; and any of the wood-oven personal pizzas.

    Lunch or dinner on the outdoor patio is a true Southern delight. Local art enlivens the indoor dining.
