High Falls Trail

Trail Category: Biking, Hiking, Horse, and Trail

Map to Trailhead
  • One of the most popular trails in Dupont along with Triple Falls Trail and the Covered Bridge Trail. Expect lots of company during the warm weather months.

That’s because High Falls is spectacular, a 150 foot dome of exposed rock with streams of water shooting into the air.

There is a new, shorter trail extension to the waterfalls through a cool, shaded area of the forest that eliminates the trek along Buck Forest Road for hikers and intersects with the Triple Falls Trail. While the trail is mostly level there are a couple sections that have more steep descents as  the trail winds down to the base of the falls.

From the High Falls access area at the Visitor Center, walk the Buck Forest Road 0.3 miles (or take the shorter extension nearer the Visitor Center), turn left on Triple Falls Trail and an immediate right on High Falls Trail for 0.3 miles.
