  • The fourth waterfall on the Little River as it heads downstream, Hooker Falls is a pretty and accessible 12-foot high cascade that drops into a deep and popular swimming hole with flat, sandy sides. With a 3/10 of a mile walk down a level shaded path, it is also the easiest walk for the entire family.

    From the expanded parking lot on Staton Road, you can see Hooker Falls from the wheelchair accessible viewing area above, or from the large, flat rocks at the edge of the pool below.

    Note that the NC Forest Service does not encourage swimming at Hooker Falls and no lifeguards are on duty.

    From downtown Brevard travel 11 miles south on US 276. Turn left on Cascade Lake Road. Travel almost 2.5 miles on Cascade Lake Road and turn right on Staton Road. Travel about 2.4 miles to the Hooker Falls Access Area parking lot on your left.
