Fetcher Flyer

Event Category: Biking

  • The Fletcher Flyer was started in 2003 as a “century ride” everyone could ride without the long mountain climbs. Its appeal spread quickly and the ride has been capped at 1,000 riders from at least 20 states who enjoy gorgeous mountain views with blue grass, BBQ and beer.
Choose from four options of a full century (100 miles), metric century (63 miles), half century (50 miles), and half metric (33 miles) rides that wind through the rolling hills and valleys south of Asheville. Considered the least hilly ride in Western North Carolina, the Flyer has something for everyone from first-time to experienced riders. Proceeds benefit bicycling advocacy and local non-profits.
Ride starts and finishes at Oscar Blues Brewery in Brevard. The Fletcher Flyer becomes the WNC Flyer in 2017.
Information from event producers Blue Ridge Bicycling Club and WNC Bicycle Dealers Association.
